The Brand Challenge
TaskUs needed a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) campaign that is aligned with its full-year content strategy, aiming to build brand equity and awareness. The campaign had to resonate with both the local community and its global clients, showcasing TaskUs as a forward-thinking, purpose-driven company.

The objective was clear: design a sustainability effort that not only addresses environmental concerns but also strengthens TaskUs’ brand positioning as a socially responsible organization.

The Green Solution

GCash and TaskUs joined forces to turn our shared sustainability goals into reality. Through our Green Solutions program, we’ve launched a thoughtful CSR campaign centered on planting 10,000 native coffee seedlings in Cavite to support local farmers and their families. Leveraging GForest, the initiative encouraged eco-conscious users to plant digital trees, which were then transformed into real trees. This app feature can also help users lower their overall carbon footprint by encouraging users to switch to digital transactions. Green Solutions also provides marketing benefits by bringing eco-friendly initiatives to the forefront through in-app ads, PR materials, and paid media placements on various corporate channels. 

This collaborative effort inspired green practices and empowered users to make a tangible difference, creating meaningful and far-reaching positive change. And to kick it off, we’ve implemented a holistic approach to this campaign:

  1. Community Engagement: An on-ground ceremonial tree-planting event kicked off the initiative, featuring advocacy talks from TaskUs’ leadership team and local community representatives. The event fostered connections between stakeholders and highlighted the shared commitment to sustainability.
  2. Sustainable Partnerships: Alongside the tree-planting, attendees received sustainably sourced gifts from partner organizations, reinforcing the theme of environmental responsibility.
  3. Integrated Promotions: A mix of online and offline marketing materials generated buzz leading up to the event, ensuring maximum visibility and engagement. This included social media campaigns, email marketing, and in-app notifications via GCash’s Go Green Ads.

The Results

Widespread Media Coverage

The campaign’s launch was amplified through press releases picked up by top publications, including Inquirer, PhilStar, and Rappler, achieving a collective reach of 7.4 million in just one month. This extensive media presence reinforced TaskUs’ image as a socially responsible brand.

Impactful Go Green Ads 

Targeted advertisements within the GCash app promoted the initiative to eco-conscious users. These ads garnered 37,700 impressions, over 1,200 clicks, and an impressive click-through rate of 3.35%. This engagement translated to more digital and physical trees planted, directly contributing to the campaign’s success.

Community and Environmental Impact 

The 10,000 coffee seedlings planted not only supported local farmers but also contributed to reforestation efforts in the Cavite area, demonstrating TaskUs’ commitment to both social and environmental sustainability.
