1. What is GChat?
GChat is GCash’s in-app messaging feature that enables you to exchange messages with other fully verified users (“Users”).
2. Who may use GChat?
GChat is available to fully verified GCash users who are not minors and have activated the GChat feature. The use of this messaging feature is not a matter of right to all verified GCash Users and may be denied at any time.
3. Where can I access GChat?
You can access GChat by tapping Inbox from the navigation bar and following the on-screen instructions.

4. How can I start chatting in GChat?
After enabling GChat, you can begin chatting with other Users by following these steps:

5. Who can I chat with on GChat?
To help keep you safe from unwanted or suspicious messages, GChat only lets you chat with trusted mutual contacts. These are people in your contact list who are also GCash users and have saved your GCash-registered number in their contacts too.
To make this work, GCash needs to save your contact list. Any contacts who are not GCash users are automatically deleted from GCash systems every 30 days.
If you’d rather not have GCash save your contact list, you can choose to turn off GChat anytime.
6. Who can view my conversations?
GChat conversations are private, and can only be viewed by you and the person you’re chatting with. However, the conversations are subject to the terms and conditions of GChat.
7. Will GCash use my conversations from within GChat?
No, GCash will never use any of your GChat conversations.
8. Will I have access to my chat history?
Yes, you can view your GChat history by swiping up to see older messages. GXI retains up to 30 days of chat history in its databases.
9. If I use GChat, will GCash process my personal information?
Yes, GCash will process your personal information in accordance with its Privacy Notice.
10. What are the other features of GChat?
In addition to messaging, you can send money to trusted mutual contacts directly from your chat thread. GCash will automatically pre-fill your contact’s mobile number for faster Express Send transactions.
11. What are GChat community guidelines?
To ensure a safe and positive experience for all Users, please follow these guidelines when using GChat. These guidelines are part of the terms and conditions:
a. Respectful Communication
✅ Be polite and respectful in conversations.
Do not use abusive, offensive, or threatening language.
Do not engage in harassment, bullying, or personal attacks.
Do not use discriminatory language based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, or any other characteristic.
b. Responsible Content Sharing
✅ Keep discussions appropriate and relevant.
Do not send repeated messages, website links, or promotional content.
Do not share personal, financial, or sensitive information (e.g., phone numbers, addresses, passwords, OTPs).
Do not expose private conversations or confidential data.
Do not share explicit, pornographic, violent, or illegal content.
c. Prohibited Activities
✅ Use the GChat strictly for ethical and lawful purposes.
Do not engage in scams, fraud, or phishing attempts.
Do not impersonate another person or entity.
Do not promote or participate in unlawful or unregulated gambling, betting, or financial schemes.
Do not encourage, discuss, or engage in illegal, unethical, or harmful activities.
Do not engage in any commercial transaction, activity, or conversation.
Do not engage in any form of solicitation or recruitment.
Do not engage in any campaign, political or otherwise.
d. Information Integrity
✅ Share truthful and accurate information.
Do not spread false, misleading, or deceptive information.
Do not attempt to manipulate or exploit conversations for unethical purposes.
e. Security and Platform Integrity
✅ Use GChat responsibly and within platform guidelines.
Do not attempt to bypass platform restrictions, moderation, or security measures.
Do not use automated scripts, bots, or unauthorized tools to manipulate interactions.
Violation of the community guidelines will be reported to the appropriate law enforcement or regulatory authorities for investigation or for the filing of criminal, civil, or administrative action, as warranted. This is without prejudice to GXI’s rights and remedies under these GChat terms and conditions, GCash App Terms, and applicable laws.
12. What other terms and conditions do I need to know if I use GChat?
G-Xchange, Inc. (“GXI”) does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or security of any information exchanged within GChat by Users. Users are solely responsible for verifying the authenticity and accuracy of any information they receive or share. Unless caused by GXI’s proven gross negligence, GXI shall not be held responsible for any loss, damage, or harm arising from the User's use of GChat, or from the User's reliance on, or use of, any information exchanged through GChat.
Unless due to proven direct and sole fault or gross negligence, Users agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GXI, its affiliates and subsidiaries, and its and their respective business partners, service providers or other third-party partners contracted for the purpose of conducting its business operations, shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, assigns, and any party acting under their direction or on its and their behalf, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from or related to:
This clause shall survive the termination of a User’s access to GChat and remains enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
The foregoing are the terms and conditions for the use of GChat. By using GChat, you are signifying that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the foregoing GChat terms and conditions, GCash App Terms, and the Privacy Notice, which are deemed incorporated herein.
GXI reserves the right to make any changes in GChat messaging including the terms and conditions. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in the suspension or deactivation of your GChat access or GCash account, and/or may lead to further legal action.
