Some other companies affiliated with Fuse are GCash and BlockG Virtual Assets, Inc. (BlockG), its parent company Globe Fintech Innovations, Inc. (GFI) and GFI’s stakeholders Globe Telecoms, Inc. and ANT Group.
  2. Financial Institutions and Loan Investing/Purchasing Companies: To consistently provide you with high-quality loan products and services we may share your personal data with other financial institutions and loan investing/purchasing companies. For instance, as part of our efforts to manage our assets, we may sell or assign our loan accounts and our non-performing loans and assets, which may involve the sharing of your personal data with other trusted financial institutions.
  3. Credit Investigation Agencies: To deliver our loan products and services, confirm identities, evaluate creditworthiness, manage risks, prevent fraud and crime, and more, we may share your personal data to our credit investigation agencies.

They help us in various ways, such as loan management, loan collection, payment processing and reminders, answering your questions, analyzing data, managing risk, preventing fraud, preparing reports, and more. They play a big role in making sure that our loan products and services run smoothly for you.
  6. Fraud and Crime Prevention Partners: We are dedicated to protecting you and the other users of our loan products and services from fraud and other crimes. How do we delete your personal data?

We make sure to destroy your personal data securely so it can't be retrieved or used. We do this by following security measures that are standard in our industry. Once laws or regulations no longer require us to keep your personal data, we start to dispose of it.

For physical records, we destroy them by shredding. For data stored on electronic media like tapes and hard drives, we completely erase them using secure wipe solutions so they can’t be read. This makes the data unreadable and unusable without authorization.

How do we advertise to you?

To keep you updated with our latest loan offers and features, we use some of your information for advertising. We may utilize any one or combination of the following way to do it:

We analyze these to better understand your general interests and needs.
  2. Profiling: We may use the information we collect to make a “profile” about you. Our aim is to gain a broad understanding of what you might prefer and to suggest loan products and services that align with your preferences. This profile allows us to provide any biases that may impact your experience in our partner platforms. For example, we may use your age to ensure that you receive only ads that you are eligible for.
  3. Targeted Ads: We may use your profile to show you ads that we think you might be interested in. Rather than showing the same ad to everyone, targeted ads aim to deliver more relevant content to each individual user. Also, a part of targeted ads is determining whichg ads are suitable to be shown to you. For example, we will not show you ads for loan products and services which are not available in your location.
  4. Ad Preferences: This empowers you to choose your advertisements. You may take control of your online experience by customizing the advertisements you see through some of our partner platforms. For example, in GCash, if you ever want to adjust your preferences and interests, you can easily disable ad preferences.
  5. Working with Partners: We sometimes work with trusted partners, like advertising companies, to help us show you personalized ads. These partners only get access to coded and anonymous information. They are required to keep your information confidential and comply with laws about protecting your information.
How do we keep your personal data safe and secure?

Your trust and privacy are paramount to us. Hence, we aim to be transparent about how and when we share your personal data, all while ensuring its safety and security.

We recognize the risks involved when we process your personal data so that you can avail yourself of our loan products and services. These risks include account takeovers, social engineering, hacking, and more. To counter these risks, we implemented several security measures to protect your personal data, whether it's in paper or electronic format. We have also taken reasonable steps to secure your data from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorized access, modification, and unauthorized disclosure. These steps include:

  • Restricting Access: Only certain people are allowed to see your personal data.
  • Encryption: We code your personal data to keep it private when it’s being stored and sent. Encryption is like turning your personal data into a secret code, which can only be understood by those who have the key.
  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA): Our partner platforms, where our loan products and services are available, uses MFA. This means you need more than one factor before you can access their apps.

We also regularly assess data flow in and out of our systems to further enhance data protection. We enforce organizational, physical, and technical security measures aligned with recognized industry standards.

If we entrust your personal data to one of our partner platforms and/or service providers, we ensure they take appropriate measures through contractual arrangements in line with our Data Privacy and Information Security Policies.

Additionally, we advise you to stay vigilant and always protect your credentials. Inform us immediately if you suspect your credentials have been compromised. Never share your mobile PIN (MPIN) or one-time password (OTP). For more information on protecting your loan and GCash account, visit our Help Center.

Do we use automatic decision-making processes?

We may make decisions about you using computer systems without human involvement, a process known as automated decision-making. We do this to get a better understanding of you as a customer. By examining your past transactions, repayments, and account balances, we can understand your financial habits, creditworthiness, and behaviors. This process also helps us anticipate your future needs, such as when you might require additional credit. For instance, we may pre-qualify you for our loan products and services with one of our partner platforms, GCash. This will depend on your initial GScore which is based on your transaction history with GCash. To learn more about GScore, please refer to the GScore FAQs.
